Big news for SP! BJ Lownie is retiring :(

BJ Lownie, Strategic Proposals' founder will be hanging up his proposal quill for the last time in early 2025.

Big news for SP!

And he's off... We're very pleased (but also a little sad and daunted) to announce that BJ Lownie, Strategic Proposals' founder and one of the leading lights of APMP since its inception, has started to move towards his well-earned retirement: he'll be hanging up his proposal quill for the last time in early 2025.

At work, we'll miss our founding father in SP more than we can say. Jon Williams, SP Managing Director, sums it up like this: "No doubt I'll write more about the influence BJ's had on me as a person and a proposal professional when he finally retires. I owe him a huge debt: I know no better friend. And as a company, and as a profession, we owe him so much."

From change: opportunity. Strategic Proposals US and UK businesses will now become even closer. We can't wait to build on BJ's legacy with our American clients: we have such a strong record in the States of helping sales teams to win major bids, transforming organisations' proposal capabilities, and inspiring tens of thousands in the classroom.

Working with the other fantastic colleagues who remain in our US team, we can't wait to bring even more ideas to help our clients to win more.

And we can't wait to bring even more amazing colleagues into our business Stateside: do reach out to us if you're already a successful freelancer or consultant who wants to be part of a bigger "family" to share in and help shape the next exciting stages of SP's US journey.

And for our wonderful UK clients: if you have opposite numbers in the States, we'd really love to chat to them about how we might help.

From change: opportunity...

And I'm sure a lot of BJ's many friends in the profession will enjoy wishing him well at the BPC New Orleans conference in June.
